Success Village

One of the earliest co-operative association in the state of Connecticut, this 97-building, 924-unit property was mired in debt due to mismanagement. On the Mark Management was requested by the Board of Directors to help resolve budgetary issues.

What did we do?

We came in as on-site management and consultants to resolve budgetary issues, negotiating with union for new contract, negotiating financial workouts for delinquent aged payables, updating maintenance backlog and, most importantly, instituting financial controls that were sorely lacking.

Results:

We successfully negotiated a workout with a major commodity provider, stemming off receivership or liens on the property. Happy with the results of our efforts, services were broadened to provide full property management services including, but not limited to, account receivables/payables and all financial reporting. Currently, we have a team of 3 licensed CAMs and an account manager station at a office located on the property.
